About the route
Amazing route taking in the coastal Solent trails to Lymington, quiet New Forest lanes, and bridleways into the New Forest village of Sway! You'll cover mile of ground with all the fun and absolutely none of the sweat or muscle ache!
Park up and catch a ferry (seasonal) to historic Hurst Castle if you fancy a detour along the way.
Roydon Woods, Latchmore and Sway are just three of the New Forest highlights of this route.
Top tip: Brilliant for a full day or half day cycle, with plenty of scenery and refreshment on route. The traditional New Forest pub, Hare and Hounds at Sway, is a great lunch spot. Keep an eye out for ponies!
Top tip: stop on the way for coffee or ice cream at Lymington Quay and take a stroll around the riverside boutiques of this coastal Georgian market town.
This route can be completed in approx hours, but leave 4-5 if you want to explore and enjoy a leisurely lunch. There's lots to see and no need to rush!
