About the route
A glorious scenic seaside cycle taking in the stunning waters edge trails (Solent Way) and Keyhaven Marshes and Nature Reserve into the cobbled quay and boutiques of the Georgian coastal market town of Lymington.
Ideal route for taking in food or drinks at the locals favourite Haven Bar and Restaurant as you cycle throughthe Haven Marina .
Park up and catch a ferry (seasonal) to historic Hurst Castle if you fancy a detour along the way.
There are masses of perfect picnic spots along this jaunt; otherwise you can take a foodie pit stop at the start or finish at the Gun Inn, in Keyhaven or cycle down to the excellent Lighthouse seaside bar and restaurant at the Keyhaven end of Hurst Spit.
Top tips: Lymington has a fabulous High St market every Saturday, well worth a visit, with lots of local producers and merchants such as cheesemongers, and patisserie. The St. Barbes Museum is also well worth a visit, for its ever changing art exhibitions and excellent cafe.
If you fancy a coffee stop this route can be done in 2 hours. Fancy lunch, some extra sightseeing time or a wander round the shops? Book your hire for at least 4 hours so you don't feel rushed. It will be well worth the extra time.
